Students represent Northland in the TCDA All State Elementary Honor Choir

Congratulations to these students: 7th grader Rachel Warnock, 6th grader Reagan Wilson, and 5th grader Marley Wheless for representing Northland in the Texas Choral Directors Association All State Elementary Honor Choir in July. These students were chosen through a blind audition in the spring from over 1000 students all over the state representing both public and private schools. The 150 member choir rehearsed for 3 days before performing a stunning concert in the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio for an audience of hundreds of esteemed choral directors ranging from college professors to elementary professionals. The choir was under the direction of Ruth Dwyer, Associate Director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir and Artistic Director of the Columbus, Indiana Children's Choir. Ms. Dwyer is also a published composer/arranger and the Honor Choir performed several of her pieces. Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Luedecke are extremely proud of their students!

Congratulations Rachel, Reagan, and Marley!
