Debate Team Succeeds Nationally and Internationally

The Northland Debate Team has traveled and competed across the country and has had great success over the past few months. So far this year, team members have competed in California, Louisiana, Minnesota, Florida and Germany. As the season concludes, we are set to travel to North Carolina, Georgia, California, Kentucky and Illinois; we will also have a student competing abroad in Singapore. It is an exciting time for Northland Debate!

In addition to our success nationally, senior Elyse Dewbre has represented Northland on the international stage by competing for Team USA. She traveled to Germany in November and competed against teams from China, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Denmark, Slovenia, and Canada. Her team finished this highly competitive international tournament in the top 8! Additionally, sophomore Claire Schulter had the opportunity to compete for the Development Team at the Blake Tournament in Minnesota. Her team comprised of students from across the country placed in the top 8 of that tournament.
