We have a support system in place to help our international students succeed in all areas of school life. Our faculty and staff work hand-in-hand with students, parents, host parents, and the International Program Office to make sure that international students transition well to the Northland community and thrive during their time here. We know that picking a U.S. school for your student is an important decision, and we are committed to helping prepare your child to reach their goals when they graduate and leave Northland.

From admission to graduation, we are committed to providing the tools for student success with academic, social, and emotional support.
Explore Northland
Begin your journey by scheduling a personalized (in-person or virtual) tour of Northland’s beautiful 33-acre campus in Northwest Houston. You can also explore our campus and community by watching our welcome video.
Why Houston?
Northland is located in Houston, Texas, the fourth largest city in the United States and home to major corporations and medical centers. Houston is a hub for key industries—technology, oil and gas, banking and finance, law, and medicine—and our city has world-renowned fine arts, athletics and academic institutions, including Rice University, currently ranked #17 in national universities. Houston is also a travel hub with two major airports, including George Bush International Airport, and is easily accessible by most major international cities.

Northland is located only 15 miles from George Bush International Airport, 20 miles from Downtown Houston, and only 70 miles from Galveston. We are about 3 hours away from three other major cities: Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.

Houston is one of the most international and diverse places in America, with countless opportunities for students to study, explore new activities, prepare for university, and connect to potential future employers. Northland graduates attend universities from the west coast to the east coast and every place in between.
Begin the Application Process
Each international applicant must first complete an interview with Northland’s International Program Director, Elizabeth Chavez. This is an opportunity for us to meet you, to get an initial understanding of your English comprehension level, and to ensure that you would be a good fit in the Northland community.
