College Guidance Counseling

The counseling and advising staff at Northland Christian School provides counseling, academic advising, and college admission guidance to middle and high school students. Counselors are available to help students with social/emotional issues, course selection, scheduling and academic concerns.

Counselors begin working with students in middle school to ensure they are taking appropriate courses to prepare them for high school. During middle school, students should be taking classes and electives that develop their abilities and allow them to explore various interests.

Beginning in ninth grade, counselors work with students to ensure graduation and college admission requirements are met. The Counseling Center connects students to college fairs and liaisons, test preparation, and scholarships. Some of the programs available through Northland include:

  • National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society
  • PSAT and Practice ACT
  • College Preview Day
  • AP Testing
  • Dual Credit
  • Virtual School Online
  • Naviance
  • Duke TIP
