Mckenna Beckstead is a 14-year old girl, who this summer, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She attended Northland Christian in 6th grade, and became a cherished friend of many. The day that all of us found out that she had cancer, we were shocked, and none of us could quite process the thought that one of our friends has cancer. Knowing that tragic thought, we decided that we needed to do something to help. That is when Kids for Kenna  started. We have sold sodas, friendship bracelets, decorated composition books, rubber bracelets, noise-makers, duct tape, and we will continue to sell more throughout the year. Through all of these sales, we have raised around $500-$600 already! When we are done, all of the money will be donated in a check to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. God has definitely given us a purpose to serve Him and those in need. Mckenna has been very brave, and most teenage girls would not be able survive through this difficult situation. She always has a smile on her face, and she never lets anything bring her down. Thank you to all who have supported our foundation.
