Do you have a jar full of loose change at home? I love accumulating enough change to purchase my Starbucks (This is consistently taking more change, but that is a subject for another time). Maybe you plan to haul the heavy jar to the bank and ask them to count it? Whatever the plan, it’s amazing how quickly loose change becomes hard currency.
In only one week of collecting our secondary students raised $500.00 for the ministry of Eastern European Mission (www.eem.org). Student collectors carried coffee cans to help put a Russian Children’s Bible in the hands of a Russian child in a public school!
Every $10.00 raised will sign, seal, and deliver the Bible to the awaiting hands of a precious child of God. Because of our students, fifty children will now possess the Living Word of God. Is there any gift more precious than the gift of God’s Word?
Congratulations to Preston Pope and Maegan Odenweller for collecting the most money. Your enthusiasm for this effort is much appreciated. Your gift is a living gift. Lives will be eternally changed. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when one of these children reads John 3:16 for the first time. You may discover in heaven that one or more of these children became a minister to the Russian people because of the Bible you gave. |
