Diaper Drive Results

With over 23,000 talks to over 10 million students at live events, we actually did something Josh McDowell claimed he had not experienced in all his years of speaking to youth and parents. On the much anticipated Spiritual Renewal Day, the seasoned Christian youth speaker, Josh McDowell, opened by saying he had never spoken in front of so many diapers.
What a humorous way to start the day and what an amazing effort by the students of NCS in collecting diapers for the pro-life ministry of Care Net, which is located in the Willowbrook Mall area. The stage was in fact full of packages of diapers to be shared with needy mothers. Unless you raised a child under similar circumstances as the mothers Care Net serves, it is hard to grasp just how expensive diapers can be for a single mom striving to provide for her child on a minimum-wage job.
Thousands of diapers were collected with more donated the following day. Congratulations to the seventh grade on collecting the most diapers in the middle school, and congratulations also to the seniors, yes the seniors, on collecting the most diapers in the high school.
Kim Zollo, Client Services Coordinator at Care Net, was genuinely appreciative of this impressive donation. She invites anyone who is interested to take a tour of Care Net and see how they educate young mothers and help provide some of their most basic and important needs. No life is an accident and the ministry of CareNet is providing real help for a scared pregnant young lady who puts her hope and trust in God by having her child. DID YOU KNOW?
Depending on how often the little one needs a change, a family can spend upwards of $1100.00 in two and a half years of diapering one child. That is an unbelievable amount of money for a single mom struggling to make it on a minimum-wage job.
