Introduction to Debate & Public Speaking 7th Grade
1 Semester
The purpose of this course is to provide a fun learning environment where students develop verbal, organizational, research and critical thinking skills. Through preparation and presentation, class members gain self-confidence that will impact all areas of life. Students will learn the fundamentals and participate in giving informative and persuasive speeches, impromptu speaking and the basics of debate.

Debate & Public Speaking 8th Grade
1 Semester
The purpose of this course is to provide a fun learning environment where students develop verbal, organizational, research and critical thinking skills. Through preparation and presentation, class members gain self-confidence that will impact all areas of life. Students will learn the fundamentals and participate in giving informative and persuasive speeches, impromptu speaking and Lincoln Douglas Debate. All students will participate in one middle school debate and speech tournament where they will compete against middle school students from other public and private schools. Class size is limited. 

Health and Wellness 7th - 8th Grade
1 Semester
Middle school health and wellness education provides instruction for the development of attitudes and behaviors related to living a healthy lifestyle. It is a course designed to expose students to a broad range of key concepts, including: physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental aspects. Students will have opportunities to investigate how choices impact health, well-being, and disease prevention, as well as promoting life-long behaviors.
