Students help with Harvey relief

Last week, students in Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors and AP Spanish had the opportunity to put their language acquisition to good use by traveling to a neighborhood still struggling to recover from Hurricane Harvey and distributing supplies as well as specifically requested clothing items, shoes, diapers, and supplies. The 19 students who went did an amazing job of using Spanish in a real-life situation, showing love to others, and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Spanish teachers Danica Marble and Barbara Cano were so blessed to watch these kids work and live out their faith.

The group returned to campus in time for 8th period, and were completely exhausted! Thank you to Bammel Church and other areas churches for donations, Spanish 2 and Intro Spanish students for helping load and unload the U-Haul, and a special thank you to the Strength and Conditioning class who helped unload 2 whole pallets of water cases in about 5 minutes.
