Mission and Purpose
The Mission of the Northland Christian School Foundation is to serve and honor God by providing support and resources to ensure the long-term excellence of Northland Christian School. The Foundation builds, maintains, and expands a network of support and resources for long-term success and financial benefits to the school. The Northland Christian School Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable foundation directed toward support of the school’s mission.
With this mission in mind, the directors of the Foundation Board have current set three priorities for fundraising. Funds are first and foremost to be used for:
- Facility improvements that expand and increase the services Northland Christian School. This includes new building projects, renovations and other capital improvements. A four-phase plan for expansion is currently underway. We are into Phase I planning.
- Tuition Assistance that supports the new enrollment of students at Northland Christian who are unable to afford the cost of tuition on their own. A committee is able to judge the legitimate claims of the student seeking a supplement through the financial loan and commitment they are willing to make for a significant portion of the cost. (See Tuition Assistance for more information).
- Innovative Teaching Grants submitted by the teaching staff are judged by a committee in the fall and spring of the year. Each semester the grant applications are ranked and a winner selected. The purpose of the grants is to provide teacher incentives for instructional improvement and competitive quality improvements along the way.
How does the Foundation earn funds for these various focus areas? A wide variety of ways will fund these needs. Check out Ways to Give and see if there might be an effective way you can be a part of these exciting initiatives!
