Ages for books per David Davis:
Texas Zeke (4-8)
Jazz Cats (7-9)
Ten Redneck Babies (pre-school to 8)
Rock 'N' Roll Dogs (4-8)
Texas Mother Goose (4-8)
All the Night Before Christmas Books (4-8)
I write almost all of my books to have several levels of humor. Sort of like the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. Little ones will love them, and older kids and adults have enough going on in the texts to keep them interested in reading them. (All of the Night Before Christmas books are in this category. I sell as many of these to adults as I do to kids because of the work related humor and satire. However, kids enjoy them too.)
As for the other titles, I don't think they can be put in a box. Texas Zeke is based on the old English folktale "The Old Woman and Her Pig." Mom read that to me before I was four...but one place lists that story as for "12 and up!" Jazz Cats and Rock 'N' Roll Dogs have stories that delight little ones, but also contain facts that I hope will interest kids in the history of music. So, really, all the books are made to be read to little ones--and read by the kids themselves when they are older. The Night Before Christmas Books are "picture books for grown-ups from 5 to 95. hahahaha.
