Northland Christian School, a co-educational, college preparatory school was founded in 1974. NCS currently enrolls nearly 1,000 students in preschool through 12th grade. The faculty is composed of dedicated, degreed Christian professionals. Many hold advanced degrees and are leaders in their fields of study.
NCS offers a demanding college preparatory curriculum, which includes practical training to help students in various grades cope with the stage of life they are facing. Sensitive, competent, Christian teachers implement the curriculum as its challenge and complexity increases.
All curriculum and activities offered by Northland are intended to help nurture, educate and develop the whole child for the glory of God. Our teaching includes instructional strategies, which are developmentally appropriate for children, and the curriculum content is likewise developmentally appropriate.
In general, the NCS curriculum is accelerated to meet the needs of the above average student. The student population historically averages at or above the 80th percentile on nationally normed achievement tests. ACT scores for NCS graduates have improved every year for the last five years. Students average well above the state and national norms for all college bound students.
