Being selected for the Texas Private School Music Educators Association All-State Choir is a prestigious accomplishment as attaining this goal is only reached learning 3 very difficult musical selections, recording these pieces where they are then judged at the regional and state levels by a panel of 5 professional musicians. Singers from Private Schools all over the state are ranked by section (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and only a small percentage of those submitted advance to become members of the All-State Choir. Once selected for All-State, the students attend a regional and later the All-State clinic in San Antonio where all the students selected for All-State Choir, Band and Orchestra rehearse a very challenging program of music with one of the top conductors in their field and then present a Choir, band and orchestra concert which is recorded.
