Dear Northland Students, Parents and Families,

Last Spring, Mrs. Smith and I planned a trip to Paris to be taken during the week of Thanksgiving (plus 2 days before that week). Twelve Students and parents have decided to join us and have already enrolled and paid for the trip. We are all excited about seeing Paris, Normandy, and Brittany.

Unfortunately, the tour company recently informed us that they may have to cancel the trip because the other group that was going to join us has backed out of the tour, and our group of twelve people does not qualify for the tour discount. We need to have thirteen more to qualify.

Instead of giving up on our trip dream, we wanted to give others at Northland the opportunity to join us. We realize that some of you do not even know about this trip. If you are interest in going to Paris with us, read the attached announcement and enroll online! Middle school students interested in going on the trip must be accompanies by a parent or guardian. It would be awesome to have our own private tour!

The tour company granted an extension in good faith until midnight September 14.

Trip to Paris, Normandy and Brittany

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What: Fantabulous trip!!!!!!!!!!!

When: November 15 (Thursday before Thanksgiving Break) 
through November 23 (Friday after Thanksgiving)

Where: Paris (see itinerary online), Normandy (place William the

Conqueror set out from and where D-DAY happened), and Brittany (another beautiful part of France)….don't forget Mona Lisa and Hammurabi's Code (at the Louvre!) and the Eiffel Tower and perfume and cheese!!!

Who: Any Northland student and family!!!!!!
Why: Traveling is one of the best ways to learn history and to understand other cultures…plus learn to know your teachers and classmates better!!!!!!!!!!

How:

1. To check out this trip:
a. go to eftours.com
b. click on For students/parents (top right)
c. click on Check out teacher's tour (bottom right under Getting Started)
d. Put in tour number: 956002
e. Look at Itinerary and drool!

2. To enroll:
Do the same thing, except click on Enroll in your teacher's tour

Note: The quoted price does not include the extra day we are asking for….The most you would pay in addition to the quoted cost is $225. BUT the cost will go up. The best bet is to sign up before the end of August!!!!!
