When Jim Hawkins is given an old map by a shady visitor at his Aunt’s inn he soon realizes that he has come upon a great treasure. Unfortunately a rowdy and brainless bunch of pirates discover out that Jim has the map and begin to plot a scheme to take the treasure for themselves. Jim and his Aunt gather a crew to sail to Treasure Island aboard the great Hispaniola complete with a Doctor, a Captain, a mysterious cook by the name of Long John Silver, and pirates in disguise as shipmates. Will Jim and his Aunt discover the pirates before they take over the ship? Will they find the treasure and become rich?
Or will the blundering pirates outsmart them all? Come find out as Northland Christian School presents Treasure Island. This exciting new adaptation by local Houston playwright and performer, Diana Garcia, is guaranteed to keep audiences “dying” with laughter.
