Choir President – Derek Manning
The responsibilities of this office is to help oversee the outside activities of the choir and to assist Mrs. Lane and Ms. Taylor whenever needed. The president must be someone who sets a good example for the choir students, is comfortable with people, will help to take up the responsibilities of those officers who are absent at an activity and can delegate the responsibilities assigned to them. Specifically, the president will be responsible for coordinating officer meetings, various service projects, the end of year banquet and more.
Student Conductor – Paul Lindsay
The student conductor must have a strong background in music and have the confidence to lead the choir and/or ensembles. This person must be willing to meet with Mrs. Lane outside of class to develop the skills needed to fulfill this responsibility. Specifically, the student conductor must be ready to lead warm ups, be prepared to lead a sectional rehearsal, willing to develop their conducting skills and should have some background in piano.
Secretary – Ashley Sheffield
The secretary is responsible for taking care of the daily and extra rehearsal attendance and paperwork. Specifically, checking for forms to be turned in, attendance and copy preparation for programs and other publications.
Historian/Reporters – Nikki Wilson and Kayla Purcell
The historian/reporter is responsible for taking pictures at all events, coordinating the slide show for the banquet, communicating with the school yearbook and other public relations vehicles, maintaining a choir webpage and compiling a scrapbook at the end of the year.
Librarians – Mary Lacy Knapp and Nicole Quinn
The librarians are responsible for processing and filing music, making sure each student has a copy of each piece of music and keeping the music library in proper order.
Chaplains – Sam Greer and Sasha Arezina
One boy and one girl of high moral character will serve as chaplains. They must set a good example for the students in the choir program, prepare devotionals when needed and be willing to lead in prayer.
Equipment Managers – Jonathan Lane and Drew McConnell
The equipment manager is responsible for assisting Mrs. Lane and Ms. Taylor in setting up and tearing down any special equipment needed for performances or in daily use in the classroom. They are also responsible for keeping this equipment in proper order.
