Congratulations to the NCS Varsity Tennis Team on their outstanding showing at the TAPPS District Tennis Tournament held Monday and Tuesday. Seven of our eight entries into the tournament qualified for the Regional Tournament to be held April 14th and 15th. Freshman, Taylor Coffman played Line 1 girls singles and took 3rd place in District winning 4 out of 5 matches.  Sophomore, Jonathan Lane, played Line 1 men’s singles and also won 4 out of 5 matches to place 3rd in District in the men’s division.

Our Line 2 men’s doubles team of Jose Abaroa and Brian Minavi
Our Line 1 girl’s doubles team of Elizabeth Knudson and Andrea Aramayo
Our Line 2 girl’s doubles team of Larisa Chavez and Adriana Pierce

It should be noted that these results were achieved with two terrific substitutes playing in place of regular doubles team members Alex Smith and Marianna Abaroa.  Way to step up!
