The Lady Cougars faced a tough opponent in Ft. Bend Baptist Academy. Although giving up no errors in 7 innings of play the Lady Cougars struggled offensively. Sophomore pitcher Ashley Sheffield did a great job on the mound and the Lady Cougars played a solid game of defense. The Lady Cougars faced one of the top rated pitchers in the city of Houston in Rachel Fox. However, the Lady Cougars made good contact with the ball and had some hard hits that just seemed to find the gloves of the Lady Eagles. With each game the Lady Cougars are getting stronger and playing more and more as a team. They will certainly be a team to be reckoned with the second time through district play. And as always the Lady Cougars played with the character and heart of a champion.
