The Lady Cougars came into this game swinging their bats hard after their first district loss. After holding Houston Christian scoreless in the first inning the Lady Cougars scored 9 runs in the first inning. The Lady Cougars managed to hold the Lady Mustangs to just 1 run while they added another 3. Leading the offense were senior Lindsey Serres with a double and a triple. She knocked in 2 RBI's, while sophomore Jessica Maddox also had a double that allowed for the game ending run to score. As always sophomore Ashley Sheffield did a fantastic job on the mound holding the Lady Mustangs to a minimal number of hits. Congratulations to the Lady Cougars on their first district win!
