The middle school softball team rolled over Covenant Christian in the final game of the year. Final score was 11-4 as the NCS Cougars used aggressive baserunning to take the maximum 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back.
The defense was solid and in some instances it was very impressive. Madison Flowers returned to the lineup and played a great game as the catcher and worked well with Amanda Organ who struck out four batters in the three inning game to take the win. Key hits by Flowers, Organ, Taylor Huff, Coco Stewart, Katie Savoy, combined with the great baserunning of Jessica Dunn, Hannah Fleming, and Manda Jonson to power the offense. The defense was solid with the play of Savannah Thomson, Sarah Fowler, Nicole Rips and Ashley Richards. The middle school softball team thanks all of their supporters and looks forward to next year!
