With unpredictable weather conditions closing in the Lady Cougars were hoping to get a big win over the district leading team, the Lady Eagles of Ft. Bend.  Coming into the game the Lady Eagles were undefeated behind the strong arm of Rachel Fox.  The Lady Cougars did well against her, limiting our strikeouts and putting the ball in play forcing them to make the outs.  However, they did just that and limited the Lady Cougars to just two hits on the game, one by Brittany Flowers and one by Sarah Steele.  Defensively the Lady Cougars committed three errors which the Lady Eagles took advantage of.  The game ended with the Lady Eagles shutting the Lady Cougars out 0 – 8.  However, when all was said and done I could not have been more proud of the way this group of young ladies handled themselves.  It would have been easy to have been intimidated by the team we were playing.  However, this group of young ladies kept their composure during some questionable calls and what I would term, a rough crowd.  Throughout the game these girls fought hard and played with class, representing our Lord well.  When the game was over I could not have been more proud to be the coach of the Lady Cougars.
