Facing one of last year’s state qualifiers in the Lady Lions of Lutheran North the Lady Cougars were looking to prove that they were not a team that could be taken for granted.  The Lady Lions jumped on the board early, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding three more in the third. The Lady Cougars only had two errors in this game but those proved to be costly errors. The Lady Cougars continued to struggle at the plate. Brittany Flowers, Kelsey Hickman and Mary Lacy Knapp each had singles, accounting for the only hits of the game. The Lady Cougars remain in their offensive slump, struggling to put their hits together in order to put runs on the board.  However, as the Lady Cougars face Houston Christian for the second time this season the girls are looking to change the momentum of this season.  Knowing that any team can be beaten on any given day the girls know they have the potential and talent to compete, and win, against any team in the district.
