This season has proved to be anything but easy for the Lady Cougars. Facing the Lady Pioneers of Lutheran South the Lady Cougars were looking to score their first district win.  However, with the addition of a new freshman pitcher the Lady Pioneers had other ideas.  Defensively, the Lady Cougars played fairly well. Catcher Sarah Steele had a great game at the plate, even throwing a runner out when she tried to advance an additional base on a passed ball. Offensively the Lady Cougars continued to struggle. Laura Ashley led the offensive with a stand up triple and a single, accounting for the only two hits of the team.  The girls have had their share of battles this season while competing in the toughest district in the state but they have never quit. On the field they keep fighting and continue to improve their defense. Offensively, every at bat is an opportunity to get better and break our slump.  Despite what our record indicates the Lady Cougars continue to stay optimistic and continue to play with the purpose of winning and honoring the Lord in their efforts.
