The Cougars wrapped up a 2nd place seed for the District Tournament after defeating Faith West 28-12. Our record stands at 4-1-1 with 1 regular season game to go vs. Baytown. Ryland Gimenez rushed the ball 15 times for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns. Will Abt was 8 for 11 passing for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. Matt Houston, Jordan Busch and Kevin Robertson each had over 33 yards receiving. On the defensive side of the ball, the Cougars showed the true definition of the “Black Swarm” defense. 15 different players were in on tackles, including game leading Kevin Robertson with 6.5 and Max Guerrero, who had an interception and a fumble recovery.
