Northland Christian had a school record 9 players selected to the 2005 TAPPS Division III All-State team. Leading the way was senior Clark Fangmeier who was selected as 1st Team kicker for the second year in a row and was also named to the second team as a wide receiver. Juniors Garrett Van Dyke, Matt Krob and Scott Milbourn also repeated as All-State performers. Van Dyke, who was a 1st Team running back and 2nd Team linebacker in 2004, was chosen as 1st Team Linebacker. Matt Krob was 1st Team running back this year after being chosen to the second team as a receiver last year. Milbourn moved up from his honorable mention selection last year to 1st Team defensive lineman this year, after his dominating season, especially in the play-offs.
Jeremy Best was named to 1st team offensive line. Fellow lineman, guard Josh Yerian was honorable mention. The two were instrumental in clearing the way for over 3,500 total yards of offense this season.
Junior QB Jeff Abt was selected as Honorable Mention after throwing for over 1,100 yards and tossing 20 touchdowns in just 9 games of action.
Senior Blane Toldan was also selected to the first team defense as a defensive back after having 6 interceptions this season, returning 3 for touchdowns and playing stellar in the play-offs. Senior linebacker, Isaiah Castillo rounded out the all-state team for Northland earning second team recognition after a tremendous season.
