| In the final chapter of this rivalry (NCS moves up to division II next season) it was total domination in every facet of the game by the Cougars. NCS scored on its first play from scrimmage with a 74 yard run by Matt krob and never looked back after that. The Cougars scored on 8 of its 11 first half PLAYS!! Krob scored two more times on runs of 75 and 16. Jeff Abt, who has been absolutely dominant in district, passed for 153 yards on 4-5 passing. All 4 of his completions went for touchdowns, 2 to Clark Fangmeier and 1 a piece to Kendrick Blue and Jonathan Martin. Senior fullback, Jack Montgomery completed the scoring with a 1 yard plunge which made 9 scored on 12 plays for NCS. For the second week in a row Blue had a rushing and receiving td in the same game. The "Black Swarm" was equally dominant, limiting Cypress to only 38 yards. The attack was led by Scott Milbourn who had 10 tackles, and recorded 1 sack. Northland will look to win its second consecutive district title and a 1st round bye in the play-offs this Friday against Beaumont Cathedral. This game will be our seniors last home game.
