A note from Coach Reaves:

Although we were missing two of our key runners on this humid Saturday, we still enjoyed success by adding more hardware. Miss Hannah Davis medaled for the second consecutive meet in the Junior Varsity Girls Division, and Mr. Preston Pope, in only his second meet, medaled in the Junior Varsity Boys Division. I am so proud of the heart our runners showed on another muddy course. Our athletes looked more like mud wrestlers than runners. The conditions were so bad numerous runners were losing shoes after immersing them in a permanent burial of filth. Runners were actually finishing in one shoe and a sock of no return.

Sean Palizza was unable to run on this Saturday because of possible food poisoning from sushi. That's a shame. I was so impressed as he still delivered a cooler of cold beverages before our departure from student parking. Sean is a classy young man and this move showed a servant heart and reminded the team why they voted him Team Captain. Get better soon Sean!
