A note from Coach Reaves:

What an unbelievable and historic performance by Cougar Cross Country! Although only six of our runners competed in this large public school meet, all six came away with a personal best, including the three best times of the season! It's amazing how the individual times were improved with perfect weather, a flat, fast course, and public school competition.

Three of our Junior Varsity Boys all finished three miles in under twenty minutes. Ricky Mozey came in at a sizzling 19:13, followed by Sean Palizza at 19:21, and Taylor Chitty also set a personal best with a solid 19:47.

I probably ran a few miles myself sprinting to various points on the course to cheer on our runners. I've been telling them all season there is more in the tank when you think the tank is empty. Our runners simply had too much pride not to compete with the elite of our city. I'm so proud of each of you!

Even though beautiful and spacious Bear Creek Park didn't produce any more hardware, what it did produce is proof of the serious future that is Cougar Cross Country!
