A note from Coach Reaves:

God is good! The Lord provided an absolutely perfect day for running, a day of crisp air and endless blue skies. Buffalo Bayou Park was the perfect location, right at the heart of Houston's running culture. The course was hilly and scenic, with views of the downtown skyline. This meet, hosted by St. John's and called the “Ramble,” was organized and efficient with races starting quickly, one after the other.

The results were outstanding with three personal bests! Sean Palizza medaled for the second consecutive meet. Sean is making me proud! Our newly-crowned Homecoming Queen, Lindsey Serres, ran hard on only a few hours of sleep and Ashley Mozey blew me away with her heart-filled effort.

I was moved by the competitive spirit shown by Taylor Chitty and Brian Minavi. Taylor was upset because he did not finish three places better for a medal and Brian Minavi was also wishing he had finished 29 seconds better for his first time under twenty minutes. These two competitive lads are constantly wanting to run harder and faster. Coaches love this kind of zeal for improving.

Cougar Cross Country just keeps getting better!
