A note from Coach Reaves:

Wow, what a hot course! The sun was bright and I could have used my forgotten sunglasses. The course was located on the Houston Christian campus. It was narrow and full of turns, but the positive was as coach I could yell some aggressive encouragement to the runners multiple times during the race (I'm sure they appreciated this!)

Two more medals were earned by NCS runners! Ricky Mozey earned his second medal in a row and Sean Palizza earned his first Cross Country medal. Ricky and Sean have worked hard and deserve to don some hardware. What I appreciate most about these two young men is how much they respect the sport of running as the legitimate and challenging sport it is. I'm proud of you both!

Lindsey Serres, one of our two runners playing two sports, has obviously been training on her own based on her very respectable 15:55 in the two-mile race. I am impressed with Lindsey's desire to just compete for the love of competing. Cross Country is the perfect second sport to add for that athlete who has been wired by God with the need to compete.

Cougar Cross Country will keep getting better!
