In our first game of the season, we faced a tough Northeast Christian team. We had a short bench with 4 girls out this game, mainly due to volleyball advancing to Regionals. Down 15 to 7 after the 1st period, we looked slow, but were able to break their press most of the time. We were outscored 13 to 6 in the 2nd period, 18 to 0 in the 3rd, and 7 to 5 in the 4th. We lost by the score of 53-18.
Robyn Archer led the team with 9 points. Bailee led with 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Allison and Kelsey each had 2 steals and Ally led the team with 1 blocked shot. We committed 42 turnovers, which was a big factor in the outcome of the game. As a team, we shot 4 or 27 (15%) from the floor, 1 for 3 (33%) from 3 point range and 7 for 13 (54%) from the line. |
