The Cougars first opponent at the St Thomas tournament was Bishop Dunne. The Cougars started off slowly, but were able to recover by half-time, going into the locker room with only a two point deficit. The Cougs were led by the three point shooting of Cameron Wilson and Stephen Wallison in the first half and the defensive play of Korey Hart. The Falcons built up a 12 point lead in a fast paced 3rd quarter which saw Drew McConnell light it up with 8 points to help the Cougars stay close. In the end, however, the Falcons pulled away for a 69-48 win over the Cougars.
