The Cougars started off the game hot, led by the three-point shooting of Korey Hart and Cameron Wilson. A lead of six points had been reached by the Coug's by the end of the first quarter. The game went back and forth throughout the second and third periods. Josh Dennison's hot hand helped the Cougars stay right with the Crusaders by hitting 5 shots, including one three, during the middle quarters. Drew McConnell's steals and Travis Lewis' blocked shots helped the Cougar's defend the high-potent offensive attack of the Crusaders from Northeast. At the start of the fourth quarter the Cougars were down by one. The final score of 70 to 60 was not indicative of the closeness of the game. During the game, Travis Lewis had five blocked shots and 7 defensive boards, while Cameron Wilson carried the offensive load with 4 assists and 18 points. Wilson was also 9 of 10 from the free throw line.
