On Tuesday the Cougars traveled to The John Cooper School where they won in a closely contested game. The Cougars used a balanced scoring attack to jump out to a quick 22-8 lead before allowing Cooper to close the gap to 28-20 by half-time. Cooper continued their comeback until they tied the score 41-41 at the end of the third period. The Cougars, however, never lost the lead as Drew McConnell, Josh Dennison, and Cameron Wilson had strong offensive play in the second half. In the last minute of the game, Cooper made one last run but was turned back by Travis Lewis as he pulled down a rebound and was fouled. Lewis then put the game out of reach by hitting a free throw to make the difference a two possession game (four points).
