The A team played very well at the FWA tournament.  The team defeated Faith West and SATCH on Friday to move to the Championship bracket on Saturday.  First round put us against Northeast Christian and we defeated them 31-20. Leading scorers were Paige Cornwell and Liz Abt.  Second round put us against a very good team, Covenant Christian. We started off well, the half-time score was 7-9, with NCS just a bit behind.  Not sure what happened after the half, but the Northland Cougars couldn't hit a basket and Covenant Cougars couldn't miss one!  All agreed, the score didn't really tell the story.  Final score, 29-8. The A team finished 3rd out of 12 teams.
