The Cougars opened with a tough game against Northeast Christian last Monday night losing 52-71. The Cougars had a chance to get within 1 at the end of the third quarter, but they could not convert the fast-break that ended the Cougars run. Northeast countered with a fourth-quarter run and never looked back. The Cougars were led by Nat McConnell who had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Jon Hunter with 10 points, and Jordan Franklin-Earl with 13 rebounds.
