On April 12, The Cougars faced Ft. Bend in a grudge match. The first 3 Innings were a defensive struggle with neither team scoring. Jeff Abt baffled them with top-notch pitching. The Cougars got on the board first in the 4th Inning after Abt's double to centerfield and when Ethan Carnes' single drove Abt home. The Eagles scored 4 in the bottom of 4th on a combination of timely hitting and Northland errors. Neither team scored in the 5th Inning. The Eagles were able to capitalize on some Northland errors in the 6th and add 3 to their lead. The Cougars had one more chance in the 7th and got off to a good start with Trahan doubling. Serres singled and advanced Trahan to 3rd. Shane Knight hit a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing Trahan home. But that was all the Cougars could muster. Final Score: 7-2.
